HR10-26 Assistant, Sales & Sales Promotion/Industry Affairs
Great entry level position available working at a premier trade association that serves the global CPG Industry, the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Contribute in working with industry specific conferences and meetings
- Participate in industry projects involving a variety of Sales & Sales Promotion committees
- Provide administrative support to the Vice President and department management
The best candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or currently pursuing their college degree
- At least one year experience working in an office setting
- Excellent communication skills including telephone, written and verbal/interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize/prioritize work and manage time to complete assignments
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in formatting and editing business correspondence

HR10-27 Senior Director, Federal Affairs
The Director, Federal Affairs serves as a subject matter expert, spokesperson, advocate and strategist for GMA’s member companies on policy issues related to food safety, health and nutrition and product labeling. Leads and/or participates on wide variety of cross-functional projects. Leads and/or participates on a variety of industry coalitions and member committees.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- In collaboration with GMA leadership and members, identify the key current and upcoming issues facing the industry and formulate positions, strategies and action plans to address them.
- Lobby on behalf of GMA members and the CPG industry of key policy issues in area of expertise.
- Facilitate GMA member committees, working groups and task forces to achieve desired outcomes; lead cross-functional project teams as assigned
- Serve a facilitator and/or spokesperson/representative for GMA members at industry coalition activities, media events, and in other forums as needed.
