Food Defense Committee
While food safety deals with the prevention of accidental adulteration, food defense deals with prevention of intentional adulteration. The Food Defense Committee defines food defense issues of importance to the industry based on sound scientific principles and recommends strategic actions to address these issues to protect memberís consumers and their brands. The committee also develops research proposals in support of the objectives and priorities identified by the SRAC.
