On January 4, 2011, the federal government enacted the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the most sweeping food safety legislation since the 1938 Federal Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Act.
Exactly two years later, on January 4, 2013, FDA announced publication of two new proposed rules as mandated by FSMA. These proposed rules address Preventive Controls for Food and Produce Safety.
Leading the process for preparing detailed comments, the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) will host the two-part webinar, FSMA Update: What the New Proposed Rules for Preventive Controls for Food and Produce Safety Mean to the Industry on January 11th, 2:00 - 3:30 PM and January 14, 2:00 - 3:00 PM (EST).
Part I: Friday January 11, 2013, 2:00 - 3:30pm (EST)
