Ms. Wingfield interacts extensively with GMA members to provide assistance with food labeling inquiries on FDA and USDA regulated products. She joined GMA in November of 2012. Prior to GMA, Ms. Wingfield held various positions in regulatory affairs and compliance in the food industry amounting to over ten years of experience.
Ms. Wingfield received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and MBA from Emory University.
Kristen Scott, M.S., RD, CLS,

Ms. Scott assists with the development and implementation of GMA’s positions on health and nutrition policy. She joined GMA in March of 2013. Prior to GMA, Ms. Scott worked as a Registered Dietitian in a variety of settings most recently working as a Public Health Nutritionist at the Ohio Department of Health.
Ms. Scott received her B.S in Nutrition and Dietetics from Saint Louis University and M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from The Ohio State University.

Sarah Roller is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and chair of the firm's Food and Drug Law practice. For more than 25 years, Ms. Roller’s practice has focused on the representation of U.S. and global companies and industry trade organizations that are involved in the manufacture, labeling and marketing of foods, including conventional foods and beverages, dietary supplements, foods for special dietary use, and medical foods. Ms. Roller advises clients on regulatory policy, compliance, and enforcement matters involving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and other agencies, and advises clients in litigation matters in which product safety, labeling, or advertising is challenged under federal or state laws. She has extensive experience counseling companies and industry trade organizations with respect nutrition labeling and health benefit claims, including health claims, nutrient content claims, structure function claims, and other food labeling and advertising claims. Ms. Roller is a Registered Dietitian and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota. She received her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University.
Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance
Kristen Spotz is the Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance at the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), Washington, D.C., representing the world’s leading food, beverage, and consumer products companies. Kristen has an extensive background in sanitation, continuous improvement and change control. At GMA, Ms. Spotz oversees the import certification working group for FSMA, Food Safety Modernization Act, and leads the different working groups that assess the economic impact of FSMA. In addition, she is a HACCP trainer and reviews HACCP plans for GMA and is also a member of GMA’s sanitation group. Prior to her role at GMA, Ms. Spotz was a Quality Engineer along with a Quality Supervisor in a wide range of fields including medical device, snack foods and dietary supplements. She has both designed and managed the environmental and finished product testing programs at many facilities.
Ms. Spotz holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Central Florida where she graduated Cum laude. She is trained in HACCP and has engineering coursework in Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Ms. Spotz is a member of the International Association for Food Protection and was previously active with the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
