The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Preventive Controls for Human Food rule is now final and compliance dates for several businesses began in September 2016.  The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) and Peanut and Tree Nut Processors Association (PTNPA) have provided an updated guidance on the processing of nuts for industry on how to comply with the new regulation.  The guidance is a free resource and provides information on how to establish and implement a Food Safety Plan.
