About the Speakers:

    Mike Hayes is the Director of Food Safety and Quality for Del Monte Foods. He is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of quality systems in over 20 Del Monte Factories and 60 Co-Packer’s worldwide. He has over 20 years of industry experience in food safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. He is a recognized leader in Food Safety and Quality within the industry. Mike has his degree in Food Science from the University of Illinois.

 


Nathan Anderson is an Agricultural Engineer in the Process Engineering Branch of Office of Food Safety at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Anderson joined the FDA at the National Center for Food Safety and Technology (NCFST) in Summit Argo, IL in 2006 after completing his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Penn State University.

  Jeffrey Barach is the Principal of Barach Enterprises, LLC, a company he developed after retiring as the head of the Science Policy Group at the Grocery Manufacturers Association.He received his MS and Ph.D. in food science from North Carolina State University and his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina. Dr. Barach is also a lecturer, training professional and educator in food safety programs such as import safety, food sanitation and HACCP.
