DATA SYNC RESOURCE CENTER

Welcome to the GMA Global Data Synchronization Resource Center.


Developed by GMA with contributions from industry leaders, practitioners and knowledge partners, this Resource Center is designed to provide you with all of the information you'll need to implement data synchronization and synchronize with your trading partners.

We have included links to other key organizations dedicated to the advancement of global data synchronization such as 1Sync (formerly UCCnet and Transora), Agentrics (formerly WWRE and GNX), GS1 (formerly EAN International & UCC), GCI, FMI and EPC Global.

RESOURCE CLASSIFICATIONS

ACCURATE DATA SYNCHRONIZATION: With the proliferation of synced data, both retailers and manufacturers alike are discovering the need to go back to basics to get data right and reap immediate data synchronization rewards.

BEGINNERS: For companies who have yet to begin data synchronization, and who may be wondering whether to move forward with data synchronization, we have a beginners section. This section explains how data sync can help your company, what you need to do to begin data sync, and what part global standards play in data synchronization.

INTERMEDIATE: If you have already begun the data sync process internally, you may want to move to the intermediate section of the Resource Center. In this section, you will find some trading partner requirements, case studies from companies who have begun implementing data sync, and basic information on reviewing service providers.

ADVANCED: And, finally, for those companies who have begun implementation with one or two trading partners, our advanced section will give you perspective on bringing more of your trading partners into data synchronization implementation.

Data Synchronization Summit 2006

Data Accuracy Collaboration Program

Accurate data is foundational to Global Data Synchronization. To prove the point, Ahold USA, Associated Food Stores, Kroger, Royal Ahold, SUPERVALU, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and Wegmans Food Markets, conducted Data Accuracy Collaboration Program in July 2006.
