GMA is a membership driven association that affords Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturers with unparalleled opportunities to engage in critical issues facing the industry. Whether on Capitol Hill or here at the GMA food safety lab, we are constantly working to provide increased value to our members both large and small. GMA strives to ensure the industry’s voice and concerns are being used to help shape policies and industry development that accurately reflects the vital role our businesses play in delivering nutrition, convenience and value to consumers. Whether through our public policy leadership, industry collaboration or scientific & regulatory expertise, GMA offers its members a multitude of benefits and opportunities to connect with your peers and the industry at large.
GMA represents a unified voice for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and works in concert with key policy makers on the federal and state levels to promote responsible public policy solutions. The association provides a framework for our members to weigh in on critical issues facing the issue by employing a comprehensive approach to policy development, advocacy, coalition development, public comments, public opinion research and everything in between.
GMA is constantly working to help its members grow their business by creating a regulatory and commercial landscape that is poised for sustainable expansion. Through our Industry Affairs practice, GMA provides its members with unparalleled access to cutting edge thought leadership, platforms for manufacturer-retailer collaboration through our best in class annual events and a unique committee and council structure providing a platform for the industry to collaborate on key issues ranging from merchandising, sales & marketing to supply chain management and information technology.
Science is the heart of GMA and as a result the association has robust Scientific & Regulatory Affairs capabilities and experience. We are continually working to promote science-based, fact-based legislation and regulatory decisions. GMA also acts as an extension to our member companies by: conducting laboratory research to ensure the safety of our members’ products, educating and training experts on regulatory compliance and evaluating emerging scientific research and interpreting findings to our members.
