Highlights and communicates information regarding the latest developments in food, animal and food-related pharmaceutical biotechnology. The newsletter strives to select and summarize the most relevant issues important to GMA members.
Emerging Chemical Contaminants Update
Provides important news and critical industry information relative to emerging chemicals of importance to the food industry.
Food Safety Update
Provides information on scientific and regulatory food safety issues, with a primary focus on foodborne pathogens.
Food Inspection & Compliance Notes
Provides information primarily focused on food safety regulatory developments of the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service and the Food and Drug Administration. These periodic updates help keep members abreast of new and pending legislation, regulation, guidance, agency expectations and public meetings on issues relevant to the CPG industry. As appropriate, Food Inspection and Compliance Notes may also cover food safety matters such as more significant recalls and foodborne illness outbreaks.
Regulatory Update
Contains breaking and important news of interest, including current and proposed rules and notices from Federal and State agencies affecting the food industry. Agencies include the Food and Drug Administration, USDA (Agricultural Marketing Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Food and Nutrition Service, Food Safety and Inspection Service), and the Environmental Protection Agency.
International Update
Describes the association’s activities in international affairs and alerts companies to upcoming events or new information available to assist in trade compliance matters.
