What to expect at the Food Fortification Forum

The Food Fortification Forum is jointly sponsored effort by the Grocery Manufactures Association (GMA), The Mexican Council of the Consumer Products Industry (CONMEXICO) and Food and Consumer Products of Canada (FCPC). The objective of this forum is to gain industry alignment on how and develop guiding principles that will advance a North American fortification framework that is acceptable to all three countries and helps consumers meet their recommended daily needs consistent with public health goals.

  • Who Should Attend?

    The forum is for GMA, FCPC and CONMEXICO members who have an interest in food fortification and shaping principles to advance a North American framework for discretionary fortification.

    Professionals in the following functional areas should attend:

    •           Government  Affairs

    •           Nutrition Science

    •           Food Science

  • Why Should I Attend?

    This event will be the first joint collaborative with all three of North America’s major CPG trade associations participating to gain industry alignment and advance a framework that promotes science-based fortification practices that can be used in all three countries. Participants will have a voice at the table in shaping a North American food fortification framework. This event will feature government representatives from the US, Canada and Mexico. In addition, the forum will address population differences in the North American region and the scientific evidence for fortification. This is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the regulatory and business environment of each respective country.
