Get FSMA Smart: Records Access Pre- and Post-FSMA Implementation

Get FSMA Smart:
Records Access Pre- and
Post-FSMA Implementation

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

1:30 - 3:00 pm (EST)

The release of proposed rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) on good manufacturing practices and risk-based preventive controls has caused a lot excitement, and even more questions.

Some of these questions include:

"Are the rules in effect yet?"
"What records do regulators have the authority to access right now?"
"How do I respond to new records requests?"

The proposed rules cover new ground in the areas of records access and Food Safety Plans. What should you, as a food manufacturer, be doing right now in these key areas to prepare for FSMA?  Once the final rules are published, food manufacturers may be required to produce such records on things such as sanitation and allergen preventive controls. What can you do now to get ready for these new requests?

Join us on Wednesday, May 8, to review current records access requirements and explore what is to come under new FSMA regulations.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify records currently authorized for inspector access during routine inspections
  • Recognize Bioterrorism Act authority for records access
  • Distinguish FSMA records access compliance dates from FSMA records access effective dates
  • Align recordkeeping practices with pending changes to records access as a result of FSMA
  • Implement helpful tips on managing record requests during routine inspections

Information will be covered in a timely, convenient and cost-effective format in which all participants can engage with expert facilitators, both online and via telephone.
