The consumer packaged goods industry has a long-standing commitment to improving consumers’ lives, both through the products we provide and through stewardship of our environment. To help demonstrate that commitment, GMA, with the help of PricewaterhouseCoopers, has established a report series titled Environmental Success Stories in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. The series spotlights progress and achievements by food, beverage and consumer products companies as they seek to reduce their environmental footprints and features success stories in the categories of air, water and waste management. The first edition was published in February 2012, the second in in August 2014, and the most recent in August 2016.
Each of the stories selected for the reports meet some or all of the following criteria: use of innovative technology, process or approach; yielded a quantifiable return on investment; documented a reduction in impact or improvement in efficiency; engagement with stakeholders. The series highlights a diverse cross-section of initiatives from an equally diverse slate of manufacturers. Click below to download the reports.
