Promoting Food Safety and Food Science Education
Hands Classrooms provides a platform to educate middle school students on all aspects of food. Building on the success of the Hands On: Food Safety program developed by faculty at the University of Tennessee, Hands On offers three instructional units that are aligned with state content standards. Teachers who implement the Hands On: Food Safety program are provided with free classroom supplies to use in their instruction.
Partnership for Food Safety Education - the SEF is a partner and supporter of the Partnership for Food Safety Education whose mission is s to end illness and death from foodborne infections in the United States. The Partnership delivers trusted, science-based behavioral health messaging and a network of resources that support consumers and health educators.
